On August 18, 2010, China Construction Law Review (“CCLR”) held a reception banquet to celebrate the inaugural issuance of the 1st Edition of CCRL Journal in the International Conference Hall of Beijing Arbitration Commission (“BAC”). More than 90 distinguished domestic and overseas guests participated in the ceremony, including major members of CCLR editors, members from CCLR’s partners (i.e., BAC, Law Info China, Project Management Association of Tianjin University), Chinese and overseas lawyers, academic scholars, arbitrators and entrepreneurs. Ms. WANG Hongsong, the Consultant of CCLR and the Secretary General of BAC, explained why BAC jointly held this reception with CCLR, and expressed her congratulations and best wishes to CCLR.

CCLR is the first and also the sole professional construction law journal in the Mainland China issued both in Chinese and English. By focusing on the hotspots of construction laws and cases analyses, CCLR dedicates itself to the development of the legal practice and academic study of China’s construction laws. The 1st Edition of CCLR Journal has recently been issued by Law Press. In the Reception, Mr. SUN Wei, the Chief Editor of CCLR and the Partner of Zhong Lun Law Firm, delivered a speech to address the ideas and activities of CCLR. Other addressers, inclusive of Mr. CHEN Jian, the Consultant of CCLR and the Sector Director of CIETAC, Mr. HUANG Zhenzhong, the Deputy Dean of Law School of Beijing Normal University and Mr. John Bishop, the Partner of Pinsent Masons LLP, said highly on CCLR’s contributions to the development of construction laws from the aspects of the arbitration, academy and legal practice in their respective speeches.
