Invitation to China Construction Dispute Adjudication Seminar

Dear Sirs

China Construction Law Review (“CCLR”), in association with the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) and the Beijing Arbitration Commission (“BAC”), will be hosting its China Construction Dispute Adjudication Seminar (“Seminar”) on 23 November 2010 at the Jinglun Hotel, Beijing, China. Over 200 laywers, construction company general counsel and academics will be invited to the Seminar which will highlight the development and prospect of construction dispute adjudication in China.

The Seminar will be covered by legal media renowned both within China and globally, including China Law Press, China Law Info, LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters, China Court, China Arbitration and many more.

We have great pleasure in inviting you to the Seminar and hope that you can kindly share with others your valuable expertise and experience.

CCLR is the only construction law review in mainland China (bilingual). We have an extensive board of senior and renowned consultants, both from China and abroad. Editors of this journal, whether responsible for case library, law and regulations, project finance, translation, news and index of references, are private and public sector professionals committed to the development of China’s construction law and practice. To ensure international perspective and expertise, CCLR has established an efficient network of news agencies across the globe. BAC, China Law Info and Tianjin University Project Management Association are official partners of CCLR.

The construction industry is a key driving force behind China’s economic growth. Since the adoption of the opening up policy, the construction industry has generated enormous wealth, serving as the corner stone of China’s fast growing economy. With the development of the construction industry sector both in the domestic and overseas market, comes the increasing number of construction related disputes. From the legal service perspective, construction dispute resolution is facing increasing opportunities and challenges. Among them, adjudication is a new, efficient dispute resolution method originating from construction related matters. The Seminar is intended to promote the discussion and awareness of such a method between academics, corporate legal counsel and legal professionals, and tailor such a mechanism for its wide application to China related construction disputes.

We are confident that the seminar will be a success with your participation!

Yours faithfully
