Asian Pacific Regional Arbitration Group Conference 2011 is going to held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 9-10 July. It is the fourth conference since the APRAG was founded in 2004. The theme of the conference is International Arbitration in a Challenging Region. Many guests from those famous international arbitration institutions, arbitrators and lawyers are invited to speak at the conference on the following topics: Challenges Facing Arbitral Institutions in the Region, Evolving Arbitration Rules in the Region, Perspectives in Managing Arbitration in Different Jurisdictions. Supervisory Jurisdiction of Courts in the Region, Problems Encountered in Enforcement of Awards in the Asia Pacific Region, Arbitrating Islamic Banking and Finance Disputes, Protecting Cross Border Investments.
This conference is hosted by Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration, which was established in 1978 and was the first arbitration centre in the world to adopt the latest UNCITRAL arbitration rules 2010.
