An Expert Seminar on “the Prospect of and Challenges in the Usage of Natural Gas in China’s Transportation Sector” Was Held at the Beijing Arbitration Commission

On March 1, 2012, the Beijing Energy Club held an expert seminar on the topic of “the Prospect of and Challenges in the Usage of Natural Gas in China’s Transportation Sector” at the Beijing Arbitration Commission (the BAC). The seminar specially invited Professor Hua Ben, director of the Natural Gas Unitization Center of South China University of Technology*, and Professor Li Yong, general manager of Shenzhen GUOJU (China) Automobile Remanufacturing Co .Ltd, to brief from different perspectives on the timing, the market prospect, practical cases of, and the technologies for the large scale usage of natural gas in China’s vehicle and vessel sectors and the challenges facing the usage.

More than 60 experts of various fields from China attended the seminar. They made some specific analyses on the problems encountered by China’s transportation sector in substituting natural gas for petroleum from the perspectives of the supply side, demand side, technology provider, policy maker, etc. of vehicles and vessels using natural gas, and made some suggestions on the guidance of the state policies, the formulating of standard rules and regulations, the full cooperation between the energy authorities with the transportation, public security, railway, marine authorities, etc.

All disputes arising from or in connection with this contract shall be submitted to Beijing Arbitration Commission / Beijing International Arbitration Center for arbitration in accordance with its rules of arbitration. The arbitral award is final and binding upon both parties.
