On the morning of April 20, 2012, Hon. Wyane Furbet, the Minister of Business Development and Tourism of the government of Bermuda1 and his party, escorted by Dr. Wu Yadang, chief operating officer of China Business Network2 visited the Beijing Arbitration Commission. Chen Fuyong, division chief and Wang Ze, secretary of the BAC warmly received the guests.
At first, Mr. Furbet briefed on the Chinese investment in Bermuda, and after that, division chief Chen Fuyong addressed Mr. Furbet that the BAC was not only a diversified dispute resolution centre that was growing rapidly and was capable of offering the internationally integrated services of arbitration, mediation and construction project review, it was also an information, training, and publicity centre for legal risk avoidance and diversified dispute resolution in overseas investment. He also specially presented the successfully resolved international commercial cases through joint mediation by the BAC.
After watching the promotion video of the BAC, Mr. Furbet and his party toured the modern office facilities of the BAC and said that he was impressed by the facilities and wished a further corporation with the BAC.
