On May 17, 2012, a student visiting group arranged by the Association of Law of Renmin University of China visited BAC for observation and study. Secretaries of BAC Chen Liangyu and Guo Chao had an informal discussion with the visiting students.
At first, Secretary Chen Liangyu briefed the students on the definition and characteristics of arbitration system and the basic information about BAC, then he discussed in depth with the students on the issues concerning the similarities and differences between arbitration and litigation, the nature and functions of BAC, the nature and contents of the job of the secretaries of the general office of BAC, and the way to join BAC, etc. The students showed great interests in commercial arbitration during the discussion.
After the discussion, the students toured around the office area, the case filing department, the arbitration department, the library, etc.
The students expressed that they had a better understanding about BAC and arbitration through the visit and were impressed by BAC. They wished they could have more opportunities to understand arbitration and participate in arbitration practices.
