A Seminar of Beijing Energy Club on “Norwegian Experience in LNG as Shipping Fuel” was Successfully Held at Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC)

On June 27, 2012, Beijing Energy Club held a seminar with the topic of “Norwegian Experience in LNG as Shipping Fuel” at BAC. The club specially invited Lasse Karlsen, the Chief Engineer of Norwegian Maritime Directorate and Wu Jusheng, the General Manager of Maritime Consultation Department for Great China of Det Norske Veritas to deliver the keynote speeches on “Norwegian Experience in LNG as Shipping Fuel” and “ the Opportunities and Challenges in Promoting LNG as Shipping Fuel in the Globe” respectively. More than 50 experts from the National Development and Reform Commission of P.R.C, Ministry of Transport of P.R.C, National Energy Administration of P.R.C, and Counselor’s Office of the State Council, large domestic and overseas energy enterprises, and the sphere of research on natural gas and vehicle & vessel transport attended the seminar. They had heated discussions on topics such as the experiences in Norway, the global development trend, and opportunities and challenges for China in promoting LNG Fuel in vehicle and vessel transportions, etc.
