The Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) hosted a China’s arbitration breakfast meeting in Dublin in Association with Chinese European Arbitration Centre on October 1, 2012. Wang Hongsong, deputy director of BAC made a speech at the meeting.
Concurrently, the 2012 annual meeting of the International Bar Association was also held in Dublin, Ireland. The annual meeting is the biggest assembly of legal professionals around the world, having nearly ten thousand attendees each year. The meeting of this year certainly stirred up the quiet city to some extent. During the annual meetings of the association, there would be various kinds of promoting activities held by a number of legal institutions around the venue every year; as a part of the those activities, BAC jointly hosted the breakfast meeting at Westin Hotel in downtown Dublin with Chinese European Arbitration Centre, which attracting scores of participants of legal professionals from around the world. At the meeting, Deputy Director Wang Hongsong made a speech on topic of “BAC - An Emerging International Arbitration Center”, in which she presented in detail the case acceptance and hearing of BAC for the last few years, especially the acceptance and hearing of international commercial cases and the progressing of the internationalization of BAC. Ever since the founding of BAC, the commission not only boldly adopts international rules and practices in designing its arbitration rules, appointing its arbitrators and handling cases, but also keeps innovating its methods of dispute resolutions: the Mediation Rules of Beijing Arbitration Commission which came into effect on August 1, 2010 sufficiently embodies the ideas of modern commercial mediation, offering more alternatives for foreign parties and foreign-funded enterprises in China. BAC strives for an international arbitration center as well as a diversified resolution center for international disputes. The speech aroused keen interest among the participants; they were amazed when they saw the great changes taking place in the office environment of BAC.
After the speech, many participants were eager to have further communication with deputy director Wang Hongsong and hoped to have various cooperation with BAC.

During her stay in Dublin, deputy director Wang Hongsong was also present at certain activities of the annual meeting by International Bar Association, making an in-depth and comprehensive communication with law practitioners from many countries and regions including America, Britain, Ireland, Germany and the Netherlands.
