On the afternoon of November 13, 2012, the visitors of “Bilingualism and Compared Legal Education Program”of the Law School of CUFE, headed by the teachers Zhang Qikun and Xiao Fang, visited the BAC.
Secretary Chen Xi, on behalf of BAC, extended the warm welcome to the teachers and students. Zhang Qikun and Xiao Fang, representing the Law School of CUFE, presented the BAC with gifts. The receptionists, by playing the trailer in English, introduced the basic information on BAC and focused on the outstanding achievements in foreign-related arbitration field, characteristics and development of mediation. Afterwards, Zhang Qikun and Xiao Fang proposed the issues concerning relationship between the mediation in arbitration and independent mediation procedures and were replied by the receptionists in details. The students stated their views and made fulfilling discussions on interesting topics such as features and characteristics of BAC, the specific contents of the mediation rules of BAC, etc.

After the exchange, the visitors, under the guide of the receptionists, visited our arbitral tribunal, register court and library, etc., during which the students got a real feel of the daily work of the secretaries handling the cases. The whole process was rather pleasant and harmonious. After that, Zhang Qikun hoped to take this visit as the good start for cooperation and knowledge exchange, establishing a regular communication program with BAC and promote the cooperation and development of both parties.

BAC has already established the regular communication programs such as learning Chinese arbitration system and operation of arbitration commissions with the law schools of multiple outstanding domestic universities and colleges. This visit is the first communication between CUFE and BAC. Other communication and visit activities shall be frequently carried out subsequently.
