ACPNG Delegation Visited BAC

On July 8, 2013, a delegation from Association of Content Property for Next Generation (ACPNG), led by its President Mr. Choi Kong-Woong, visited BAC. LIN Zhiwei, Secretary-General, and CHEN Fuyong, Deputy Secretary-General, met with the delegation and the two sides conducted friendly and in-depth exchanges.

Mr. Choi Kong-Woong first thanked BAC officials for the warm reception, and then proceeded to give a brief introduction of the ACPNG and express wishes to cooperate with BAC in the research and practice in the field of future informational rights dispute resolution. Secretary-General LIN Zhiwei expressed welcome to the ACPNG’s visit and gave the guests an overview of BAC, including its development history and current structure, as well as its principal philosophy of consistently providing quality dispute resolution services to the clients. Deputy Secretary-General CHEN Fuyong focused his speech on BAC’s international development and experience from the aspects of international exchange and cooperation, arbitrators’ salon, staff recruitment and international internship program, and briefed the guests on their most interested topics such as China’s current laws and regulations and BAC’s practice in terms of international rules of arbitration, arbitral language and interim measures. From the visit, said the Korean delegation, they gained a deeper understanding of China’s arbitration system and would be confident in choosing BAC as the arbitral institution for international commercial dispute resolution.

The ACPNG, founded in Seoul, Korea, is an institution for studies on the regulation, protection and dispute resolution concerning future informational rights. Its key members include law professors from prestigious Korean universities such as Chung-Ang University and the University of Incheon, principals from the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board and the Seoul International Arbitration Center, as well as partners from major Korean law firms.

All disputes arising from or in connection with this contract shall be submitted to Beijing Arbitration Commission / Beijing International Arbitration Center for arbitration in accordance with its rules of arbitration. The arbitral award is final and binding upon both parties.
