Beijing Arbitration Commission

    On January 9, 2014, a delegation of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators East Asia Branch visited Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC). The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb) is an international institution specialized in arbitration trainings and promotion with rich experience and high professional level; the arbitrators passing its trainings & examinations and obtaining certain ranks of its membership enjoy a rather high recognition degree in the international arbitration circles. The delegation consists of Chairman Man Sing Yeung, Vice-Chairman Leung Wai Keung, Richard, Committee Members David Fong and William Leung as well as Members XU Lu and BAO Han.

    BAC Secretary-General LIN Zhiwei and Deputy Secretary-General CHEN Fuyong warmly received the delegation and introduced the basis information of BAC to the guests. As to the concern of the delegation to the amendment of BAC’s Arbitration Rules, Deputy Secretary-General CHEN Fuyong made detailed explanations from such aspects as emergency arbitrators and arbitration languages. The delegation also expressed its intention on further cooperation with BAC in term of arbitrator trainings. After the exchanges between both sides, the delegation visited the modernized office space of BAC.
