CIPRA Delegation Visits BAC

    On January 7, 2014, a delegation of China International Public Relations Association (CIPRA) consisting of Executive Vice-President and Secretary-General ZHAO Dali, Deputy Secretary-General XU Rundong and Assistant of Research & Development Department HUO Ran visited BAC. BAC Secretary-General LIN Zhiwei and Chief of the Second Business Division JIANG Qiuju received the guests. Both sides made in-depth and friendly communications and exchanges.

    Vice-President ZHAO first introduced the history of CIPRA’s establishment and development, the development of China’s PR industry in recent years, CIPRA’s efforts in promoting the professionalized, standardized and internationalized development of China’s international PR undertakings, as well as the common dispute types and resolution manners in China’s PR sector. Secretary-General LIN Zhiwei first expressed BAC’s welcome to the visit of CIPRA delegates, then introduced BAC’s core ideology of sticking to case handling by experts, respecting industry practices and rules as well as providing quality dispute resolution services to relevant parties throughout its development course, he also talked about BAC’s organizational structure and the general situation of BAC’s cases related to PR consultation. Division Chief JIANG Qiuju introduced the characteristics of arbitration as well as the exchanges and cooperation between BAC and other industry associations; she also anticipated the following cooperation between both sides. Vice-President ZHAO said that as an emerging profession, the PR industry was in urgent need of help from dispute resolution agencies so as to promote the industrial standardization; BAC and CIPRA may set up a long-term cooperation mechanism and engage in comprehensive cooperation in such aspects as expert provision, research and spreading of model contracts, standardization of industry practice as well as reduction and proper settlement of disputes, so as to jointly promote the development of China’s PR industry. After the talks, Secretary-General LIN Zhiwei and Division Chief JIANG Qiuju escorted Vice-President ZHAO and other guests to visit BAC’s modernized office space and service facilities.

    CIPRA is a national organization of the PR industry with ECOSOC’s Special Consultative Status and the status of social organization legal person. It was established in April 1991 with its headquarters in Beijing, and it was granted the “3A” trade management qualification by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, P.R.C. CIPRA is committed to strengthening the management of the PR industry, formulating the development strategy for China’s PR industry, standardizing the behaviors of the PR industry and practitioners, as well as promoting the professionalized, standardized and internationalized development of China’s PR industry.

All disputes arising from or in connection with this contract shall be submitted to Beijing Arbitration Commission / Beijing International Arbitration Center for arbitration in accordance with its rules of arbitration. The arbitral award is final and binding upon both parties.
