During June 5 to June 8, 2007, Ms. Wang Xilian, on behalf of the BAC was invited to attend the 20th Biennial LawAsia Conference in Kong Kong and made a speech of the enforcement of foreign-related arbitral awards in China.
LAWASIA is a professional association of representatives of bar councils, law associations, individual lawyers, law firms and corporations principally from the Asia Pacific region. LAWASIA facilitates its members’ participation in the most dynamic economic region in the world. LawAsia will hold the conference biennially. The Law Society of Hong Kong hosted the 20th LawAsia conference 2007 in Hong Kong. The professionals from Asia and Pacific countries and regions attended this conference.
Ms. Wang Xilian was invited to participate in the seminar of the disputes resolution in China, presided by Ms. Sally Harpole. She gave a lecture on the enforcement of foreign-related arbitral awards in China, in which she took the BAC as the example to introduce the status of enforcement in China and illustrate it from both legislative and practical perspectives.
Her speech including updated statistics of enforcement attracted the great attention from other speakers and participants. After her speech, she communicated with other speakers about the subject.
