On 8th April 2018, Beijing Arbitration Commission/Beijing International Arbitration Center (hereinafter “BAC/BIAC”) and Vienna International Arbitration Center (hereinafter “VIAC”) has signed official cooperation agreements in Beijing. President of Austria Van der Bellen, Premier of Austria Kurz and Ambassador to Austria Mr. Li Xiaosi attended the signing ceremony and witnessed the signing process of cooperation agreements.

This singing ceremony is part of a series of activities of President of Austria Van der Bellen’s state visit to China. Only BAC/BIAC is invited to attend the signing ceremony as an arbitration institution. Both parties have jointly promised that they will strengthen interactions and cooperation, provide convenience and support between each other, and jointly provide high quality and efficient disputes resolution services for Chinese and Austrian commercial parties.

It is the first time that Austrian President and Premier together visited China. And Austria dispatched the largest delegation including four Cabinet Ministers, Chairman of Federal Chamber of Commerce, around 170 entrepreneurs and dozens of professionals in the fields of science and culture. Apart from cooperation agreements signed between BAC/BIAC and VIAC, China and Austria also signed several other agreements.
Represents the importance and trust Chinses and Austrian commercial parties attaches to ADR. BAC/BIAC which is has been devoted to providing high quality and efficient dispute resolution services for domestic and overseas parties and has been recognized by domestic and overseas users and counterparts. Such cooperation agreements will further promote the international development of BAC/BIAC. BAC/BIAC and VIAC will jointly provide better quality and more efficient dispute resolution services for commercial parties of the world and make contributions to trade contacts and economic developments between China and Austria and even between China and Europe.
